Ball Gown Optional
I hunger
for brightly colored
eye shadow, body glitter,
and evening wear more exciting
than flannel pajamas.
It´s time to shake
the cobwebs from my hair,
straighten my spine
and walk
like a dancer again.
I am ready
to shine like the stars,
